Preparing the 2014 party

Firstly, it was HUGELY appreciated that you all came over.  Here's the list of who's signed up for what, please correct me where/if necessary:

Next Monday's meeting is @ Audrey & Mike's, no. 36 , 8.00 - 9.00 pm.

Everyone to collect tombola prizes, and books, (children's + adults), for the book stall

Everyone to contribute food/drink.

Christine:  Coffee contributions, Notifying/asking printers to stamp leaflets, provide benches, and ?chairs

Paola:  if you're happy to, while you're distributing Election leaflets, to distribute flyers with date and time of Street party. If not happy,  FC's will distribute.

Marina:  Tables from Milton Road, with Audrey's car, no ...., contacting Colin, painter. Painting for children.  Paper, paints, paintbrushes.

Heather:  Guess the no. of Sweets in a jar, chairs.

Consuelo: Contact Milton Rd for table collection, liaise with Marina & Audrey,  Napkins, paper plates and plastic cups from Poundland (will email you info), balloons, Hats/wigs, ?Large Jenga (possibly), Asking Alison if she'd be free/happy to play her accordion.

Katherine: Hopscotch, ? Lucy cornet, Crafts corner/face painting? Lucy to help Emma & Alex with street collection - 50ps 

Stefan: helping to put up the Gazebo.

Paul & Yusuf: Storing Tombola prizes (leaflet to say, leave your prizes @ no. 41, 

Yusuf: Maths puzzle game

Alison + ?daughter Blair-Underwood - ?helping on book stall?

Abi Brundin - Lucky Dip - 

Githa - baking a cake, 

Robert FC - , Guess the no. of balloons in the Old Car.Snail race + ?Consuelo,

Gazebo + helping to put up the gazebo

Liz FC - Contact Milton Rd for table collection, locating/collecting Tea urn - possibly distributing leaflets, Ask Sheila for Emma/Alex's help with street collection & Music,  + co-ordinating team!

Michael Cahn - to set up 2014 website/email info from sunny California.

Second meeting will be at Mike and Audrey's house, on Monday 19th , same time, 8.00 - 9.00 pm.

Update from meeting on the 19th May

Again, a HUGE thank you to you all, and to Audrey and Mike for hosting.

Progress (on last week) update :

Mike - Treasurer (+ Golden Syrup tin) - any spare/left over money to be given to children's charity - EACH

Audrey - collecting providing mugs for tea/coffee,

+ Marina V collecting tables from Milton Rd .  (Tables are quite light).

Alex/?Emma Holmes, + friends - to collect 50 p in aid of the Street party.

Paola - to buy and bring milk - 4 pints - at your own discretion

Welcome/Writing name stickers

Volunteered making chocolate ginger to raise money for children's charity -EACH.

Christine - providing coffee - 2 instant coffee jars? -  

Marina - + Audrey, collecting tables from Milton Rd, ? painting ideas from Colin

Consuelo - Contacting Milton Rd  for 3 tables. 

Coffee/tea mugs from Cafe Nero? -

Poundland - buying napkins, paper plates/cups, balloons. (+? craft stuff , if available money/interest - to be decided)

Write flyer with info for: car/traffic alert when road closed,  music, books, Tombola prizes -

(Paul & Yusuf, no 41,  to store Tombola stuff if necessary).

Alison S, Rob FC - play/help out with music? - various children to play/contribute.

Deborah - planning some more games.

Heather - find history quiz on Garden Walk - ?if possible. No problem if not.

Katherine Stott - has the chalks ready for Hopscotch and chalk paintings etc.

Liz FC - book and collect tea urn, contact ASDA communications officer for for contributions (?mugs).  Find name stickers,  Find more games

Tim Ritchie/Robert FC - provide gazebos
