Garden Walk Street party 11th June 2016

After a few meetings at Liz' house, leaflets distributed and road closing permit obtained, today was the day to pull it all together.  We were lucky with the weather as the heavy rain that was forecasted kept off until past bedtime so our out door activities were a big success.

This year we raised  £161.41. for EACH East Anglia Children's hospices

 Street chalk was donated by the Sunflower day nursery

Someone organised a bbq for marshmallows







Liz borrowed the tug of war rope from a friend on Victoria  Park



Alison and her husband spoiled us with some lovely music.



The Street Party was again a lovely success where young and old got together to have fun.
Thank you to all those who were involved, it was a lovely afternoon




Karina was given hoops and bean bags, street chalk and street croquet from the Sunflower Day nursery.





Alison  organised a book stall, where residents donated their books to be sold for our cause
Audrey put together the bric a brac stall



Boris and his sons were in charge of the hot water urn, the coffee, tea's and squashes
Christine organised the plants stall, here a happy customer.
